You Need To Stop For A While And Consider Whats's Important To You
Continue to the Importance check »
Imagine if you will that you stop the plate spinning routine for a moment that for YOU time stands still. Take down all of the plates and lay them out on a long table. On each one is written a responsibility, a role, a duty, a person.
Score Each Role, Each Person Out Of 10 For Importance.
10 Is The Most Important And 1 The Least Important
Now look at all of those responsibilities and people and decide how important each one really is to YOU. Which do you value and need most, which do you love without question, which has been damaged in a previous smash and you would like to repair? You must be honest with yourself. This tool uses the Importance score to set your level of importance on each plate; on each role or person.
As an example, for me, my partner and my children would score an equal 10 out of 10. My job scores 9, money scores a 7, my extended family scores 9.
Waste May Not Be Important But We Use It A Lot To Steal Time
WASTE. Why is waste included you ask? Well waste is not important to anyone, of course, but when we move through to the next page, 'Effort' we can assess how much time we waste. This is really important when trying to reorganise your life, to gain time and control.
Consider All Aspects Of The Role, The Person, When Evaluating Importance
As you move your mouse over each category, a text box will highlight associated things and people. For example the 'Partner' text box will show 'health', 'their own time', 'their achievements'. You must consider each of these associates within the category. So for your partner, you must consider, not just how important is the whole person to you, but how important is their health, their happiness, their ambitions. Consider each one carefully before scoring.
